Most employees want to automate tasks

According to a recent significant survey, 60% of employees welcome the prospect of offloading tasks onto automated systems.

“The jobs that employees would most like to hand over to a machine are inputting data (16%), taking minutes and notes (14%) and electronic filing (12%). Again, the figures are perhaps better to see as ranked issues, i.e. that inputting data is the area where people would most like to hand it over to a machine.”

Survey respondents reported that 26% of their time was devoted to data entry of one kind or another. Automating that data entry would enable both greater workplace satisfaction and considerably more available time for creativity and pro-action.
